Designer Sale UK was founded in 1989 by Elaine Foster-Gandey from an idea that grew out of having worked for many top designers, fashion magazines and photographers.

‘It was 1988, that era of Thatcherism and affluence, but then there was a recession and fashion designers found they had overproduced. It struck me that it was an ideal time to persuade them to let me sell their extra stock. I knew Designers like Jasper Conran had studio sales for his clients , but wanted these sales to be bigger, more diverse and open to a much wider public.’

‘I persuaded a photographer friend to lend me his studio in Soho and used all the contacts I had made over the years. There was a queue right down the road and it was an overnight success’. Evening Standard

Sixteen years later the London sales that happen six times a year are an established event on every fashion persons calender. A vibrant and exciting studio complex at Studio 95, 95 Brick Lane, London E1 where celebrities, models and customers rub shoulders to bag fabulous bargains from a huge selection of top designers.

Our latest venture is our on line store which offers these incredible bargains to a much wider audience, so where ever you are in the world you can bag a bargain and look fabulous.
